North of the Wall
The title of this album is a veiled reference to a certain popular tv series but that is where the similarity ends, as in the tv series it is a dark, bleak, foreboding place. My 'North of the Wall' can also be all of that but, to me, is a country of outstanding natural beauty. Scotland provides many wonderful opportunities for the landscape photographer and I intend to spend more time there with my camera, something I have not managed in recent years and, alas, my old pre digital negatives seem to be long gone! My wall, well Hadrian's really, isn't the border between England and Scotland of course, a sizeable chunk of England in the form of Northumberland, equally beautiful comes in between, so please forgive me a bit of artistic license.
